Hi there,
I’m Dr. Sherri
I’m an educator, curriculum expert, and mom of three who believes learning should be meaningful and personal. Whether I’m tutoring students or supporting schools, I lead with heart and evidence-based strategies.

My journey as an educator began over a decade ago in a college math lab — and it hasn't slowed down since. I’ve taught students from kindergarten to college, run programs for schools and cities, and worked with learners of every background and ability level.
In 2024, I earned my Doctorate in Education with a focus on curriculum and teaching. That work deepened what I had already seen firsthand: students succeed best when the adults, systems, and structures around them are aligned. Today, I lead Education That Matters, providing tutoring, school consulting, and educational content rooted in evidence, experience, and real-world application.
When I’m not working with students or districts, you’ll find me cheering at baseball games, baking muffins, or writing about the future of education.
My interdisciplinary background allows me to support learners, families, and schools from both an instructional and systems-level perspective - connecting what happens in classrooms with the systems that shape long-term success.
